I got my awesome GREEN laser pointer to work again and it made me VERY HAPPY because I thought it might have been broken. The old batteries were all scraped up when I removed them and I was afraid there might have been some acid leakage into the circuits. (I also have a PURPLE laser pointer. I am awesome.)

Also yesterday we went raiding one of the storage areas and came out with some wonderfully dorky t-shirts and miniature flashlights.

It doesn't take too much to make me happy. It really doesn't. :D

I have two memos and a presentation to put together and I don't want to do any of 'em.

Being a grownup sucks.

Didn't get much keyboard time this weekend, so I'm behind.

I created a Dreamwidth journal primarily as a fic journal, though who knows whether it'll expand from there. DW users can add me at moonwise.dreamwidth.org.

It'll be a miracle if I get all 30 done, but hey.

Day 01 - Your favourite FF game! )

If I've told my husband once, I've told him a hundred times: stop feeding Biscuit crystal meth. There's no other explanation for her behavior. She's been tear-assing around the house like she has a rocket tied to her tail for at least an hour now.

My MIL's cockatiel Sam is singing joyfully to my feet.

I had no idea he was so fond of striped socks. :D

I don't watch Friendship is Magic, but a lot of you do, so here's a fanart to brighten your morning.

Oh Kain, you so grumpy.

But I love the hair.

In other news, there is no Cocteau Twins music on my iPod. WHY IS THIS.

Scrump

Today we all had a good laugh at work when a story was related wherein one of the analysts thought that one of the batch records he was reading said that something should be "scrumptiously clean," when in fact it read "scrupulously clean." After a great deal of fun was had at his expense, we discussed whether there should be a "scrump" scale to rate the scrumptiousness of foods. The base unit of 1 scrump = a baby carrot was posited (I think because I had them in my lunch) and then it was generally agreed on that Kraft Macaroni & Cheese made the original way with half a stick of butter would be 100 scrumps.

I think we need more points on the scale, though. Scrumps are kind of like Scoville units for the hotness of peppers. What's your scrump value for your favorite scrumptious foods? I'm thinking that cooked spinach is about -50, at least for me.

Geekitude

Wow. *blows the cobwebs off LJ* Facebook has killed this journal.

But, maybe there's a reason for that. Facebook is for real life stuff, like baby photos and what I did last weekend. LJ is for geekery, and I haven't had a whole lot to geek out about in the last year or so, and there's been even less since the pooper arrived.

BUT!

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] maeveth, from whom I first found out that Laguna was going to be in Dissidia 012, I am having a happy fangirly time. I might even fic. It gives me faith in Life after Baby. Then again, I also have [livejournal.com profile] archaeologist_d as a role model. :)
