Nothing says Easter like a wind-up chicken that shits bubble gum eggs (or whatever else you put in it.)

Starburst jelly beans are revolting.

More on Weekend at the Parents' another time. It still sucks, but there's not much to do besides pack my stuff up and move along.

From the description of a doujinshi on eBay:

Coments.........When RUKIA walked, it was already dotted with the Seoul * candy which had difficulty with acquisition.
It is RUKIA which I have picked up carelessly, but it is for Lucia to have been a trap of GIN for getting!
It is RUKIA center all Cara gag book.

Gotta love Babel Fish!

(Interpretations of this statement are welcome.)

Dear Bleach,

While I do appreciate a fart joke now and then, the poopie humor at the end of 75-76 was a bit much. Do try to avoid that in the future.

Hello Friends List,

I'm borrowing this idea from [livejournal.com profile] fadingembers, who borrowed it from someone else. I've had this LJ for several years now, and some of you may find that we no longer share interests, but you feel bad about dropping me from your list. Today (or this week) is your week to do it and feel no guilt. Since my RL has gotten a lot happier, my journal has been less about "omg emo angst cheer up sad little grad student" and more "OMG ANIME YAYZ!"

So, if you ain't interested, it's all good. It's been fun knowing you! I'll be doing some spring cleaning of my own this week, as well.

My husband has a car buddy named Jason. Jason is going to buy a used Honda S2000, and then he and my husband will be S2000 buddies.

They are (facetiously) calling themselves Team y0.

Now Jason has a new lady friend, and if we all meet up and like one another, then the lady friend and I will be:

Team y0 Mamaz.

It's so stupid but I've been laughing about it all night.

There is no excuse for this post, except that I have a dirty mind, and Renji is wearing a necklace in the Sealed Sword Frenzy that looks like a penis. Feel free to steal, but please credit me.

Also, is it me, or is the end of Bleach 73 a porno fic waiting to happen? Consider this: we have all the right elements. Ishida has a fever, hurt/comfort, Yoshino's lost love, a lot of talk about lonely eyes, and a nearby bed.

Yeah. I'm so reading that one.

A billion million thanks to [livejournal.com profile] jaina for optimizing the icon so it was under 40K.

I gave out a couple of MP3s from this album last year, but Ashley MacIsaac is so awesome that you should have the whole thing.

Bleach fans, take note that "Wing-Stock" from this album was chosen by Kubo Tite as Rukia's theme song. It's actually quite appropriate for her - starts out pretty and gentle, and then WHOA HERE COMES THE ASSKICKING.

I am pleased to announce that my husband and I have watched 28 Days Later, and we found that the principles used against the Infected were in accordance with the guidelines laid out in the Zombie Survival Manual. It is indeed heartening to see that the directors of this movie did their best to bring the reality of a zombie outbreak to the attention of the public, and that proper survival techniques - as well as the consequences of not using them - were realistically displayed. Bravo.

I have a nice new fashion accessory for the next 24 hours - a Holter monitor. After my father's scare in January and my mother's heart arrhythmias, I figured that getting a baseline wouldn't hurt. The nurse scrubbed the electrode attachment points with what felt like Brillo, so my neck is a world of ouch. :P

All three of my spanky new Love Drop doujinshi arrived within the last 24 hours. OMG pretty. But, I have to say that "Grey Rain" is kinda boring, maybe not so much if you can read it, but I can't read it.

Oh, and House last night? Let the shipper wars begin, because... yeah. The Odd Couple, anyone? Speaking of which, I'm going to "Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital" aka Frist Campus Center + Princeton U. Infirmary + Molecular Bio Building today for my friend's FPO.

Okay, so silly anime ranty stuff.

It's my dad's birthday in about a week.

So, what do we do but invite him and my mother over for dinner?

WHAT AM I, A FUCKING MASOCHIST? DIDN'T WE JUST LEAVE THIS PARTY?

Well, it does give husband the chance to watch the first F1 race of the season at 6 AM the next morning...

Phew. I feel like I've been on a treadmill since the middle of last week.

I think I'm the only person on my flist in the US who's not watching the Oscars.

Reason why? Didn't see any of the movies except March of the Penguins. I'm sorry I missed the plushie parade, though.

I'm selling off one of my retired costumes, so if any of you have an interest in cosplaying Tenten, please have a look!

eBay Auction for Tenten's jacket

Please be advised that I am not a professional seamstress, so what you see is what you get! But, I have tried to make this a nice garment all the same. :)

I go to CNN and see the headline: "Stunning finish in figure skating" or sommat like that.

Hmm, thinks I, maybe I'll watch that tonight.

I scroll further down the front page (mind you; not the Olympics page) and see a headline:

*SPOILERSPOILERSPOILERSPOILER*

So much for watching that.

Figure skating fans, avoid the news if you want to watch the competition, because the media has no concept of "don't want to know yet."

Before I go through the trouble of listing these on eBay, does anyone want to buy:

Vols. 1 - 4 of Fruits Basket, brand-new condition: $15.00

Vol. 1 of Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, brand-new condition: $4.00

Vol. 1 of Chrono Crusade, brand-new condition: $4.00

First one who comments gets it; shipping costs determined by how much you want. Single books will ship for $2.00 via Media Mail, add $0.50 for each additional book.

Buy my shit! Please! :D

At this time tomorrow, [livejournal.com profile] jaina and I will be well on our merry way to Katsucon, though I anticipate we'll get stuck in traffic several times.

So much to do tonight. Brilliant me, I don't seem to have a handy paintbrush, so I have to spend valuable time heading out to Michael's so I can finish the 4th squad badge for Isane. (mebbe will go at lunch.) To add to that, my hakama still need to be ironed, and the two kimono could use a pressing as well. Oh, and the Seung Mina outfit too. :P Oh, and my "Anime: Crack is Cheaper" bag is missing. Again. Which is, like, my best bag for cons.

Argh.

Anyway, it should be a good time, if for no other reason that DC is a fun town and there are lots of good places to eat. Plus, [livejournal.com profile] buttercup022 has taken it upon herself to do some strenuous research and find the best bars.

And I am totally not looking forward at all to the potential for wanksplosions between cosplayers. I didn't make sure that my camera was cleaned off, nope. Didn't even check photoshoot times.
