I'll just do this and see what kind of response I get. ^_^

Do any of you have a word that is unique to you that you use for something, sort of a nickname for an object or a possession? How did it get started and do you still use it?

For example...

When I was little, I had trouble saying "ginger ale," so it came out as "gerowl." We still call ginger ale this.

My parents had friends who called the television a "waddy," because their child called his pacifier a waddy. The name stuck with my parents, and it was quite common to hear "Turn the waddy off and come to dinner."

Anyone else? ^_^

Wheeeeee!

narges = tangerines (originated from a babyism)
me = 'cabbage' (my bizzarest nickname, and has been going as long as I've known my aunty-paddy)
buzzer = remote control
dry fly pie = eccles cakes
scoffy dinner = vermiccelli and meatballs 0_o
jubblies = orange lollipops
spag bolo = spaghetti bolognaise

That's all I can really think of right now ^_^. So there ya go.

Ah... you reminded me of another... in our apartment, we call the remote control the "emote patrol." That's something Brian started, and I've picked it up over the years.

Hehe... I like narges. :)
