My mother sends out chain letter-type spam. o_O I'm not sure how to tell her to quit sending them to me. Nothing personal, just please spare me yet another cutesy-poo mail about how angels are watching.

Husband comes home tonight after two days away in AC at some ladies' golf tournament. He said it was hot as hell out and he sounded tired when we spoke last night. It's nice to be home alone and play video games and eat chocolate cereal for dinner, but I miss him and it will be good to have him home again. At least I am free to talk on the phone some. *wink*

Still waiting for the word from Bernardsville VW about delivery of the new zoom zoom. With luck, hubby will have a message to that effect on his voice mail when he goes back to work tomorrow. Must get prepared to write a BFC to the dealer, but the bigger the BFC, the less the financing will be.

Something smells weird in the lab today and it is not our erstwhile labmate who seems averse to showers and deodorant. We were hoping that when he got married, his wife would dunk him in the shower on a regular basis, but that does not seem to be the case.

Off to work. It seems I will be spending a large portion of July out of the lab, which does not make me comfortable, but so it goes.

My Grandmother was guilty of that spam-a-lot. She would forward anything she got, or found, and was always giving out our email IDs to places, so in turn we'd get spam from them (like funny greetings and such--sounds innocent, but once they your email...). But the worst part was, she was sending some stuff that messed with browser settings (using .HTA stuff), like resetting homepage, and stuff--and even some emails that had viruses in them.

Finally my dad said something, and she stopped. I know she just wanted to share things she found, and the interenet is a new thing for her, but... @_X Sometimes, a little common sense is required... (if you don't like getting junk mail in your mailbox, do you think others will like the virtual equivalent?)

Yep, I wrote a BFC myself last summer. But it's not so bad as a few years ago when interest rates where higher, but still... The less money I give to bank/financer in interest, the better for me. More mushrooms in my pocket. ;)

Perhaps when this odor-producing coworker has a b-day, everyone can chip in and get one of those car air-fresheners--the kind you hang on the rearview mirror--and just call it a necklace. Err.. Okay that would be mean.

Eeep... yeah, you learn pretty fast in this day and age that giving out your mail left and right is a no-no. I just give out my hotmail account, since that gets spammed left and right - more spam isn't going to make a difference. I'm sure it never even occurred to your grandma that the stuff she was sending might not have been safe.

Indeed. The more the BFC is, the less you have to finance. I don't know what my rate is going to be. They were having a 0.9% finance rate for "qualified buyers," but I don't know whether I'm one of them yet. :)

We have considered leaving a stick of Right Guard on this fellow's desk, but no one has the cojones to do it yet. Hee hee. But man... how can you not bathe...
