Clinton touts support from 'white Americans'

"I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on," she said in an interview with USA TODAY. As evidence, Clinton cited an Associated Press article "that found how Sen. Obama's support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me."

Madame Clinton, I assure you that you don't have my white American support. Perhaps I am too educated for your elite cadre of supporters.

Shit like this makes me feel physically ill.

Yeah. I will vote for a female candidate because she can do as well as or better than the person she is running against, not because she happens to be female.

Totally agreed! Honestly, I've never seen such spin. If I didn't know that politicians would say anything, I'd think she was crazy. Her desperation is getting very uncomfortable to watch. I mean, I'm not against someone fighting for what they believe in, but there is a time for a reality check, and it has come and gone.

My husband theorizes that Ms. Clinton's reward for standing by her man during the Monica thing was advancement of her political career. I don't know if that holds any water, but it would explain why she's so upset - Obama is challenging her for a crown she feels she was promised.
