I'm going to get my new Honda Fit this week. We looked at the Scion xD, and while it did make me think twice, I still like the Fit better.

So excited. It's adorable and fun, and it reminds me of my dear departed Red Rocket.

Now to get a big magnetic block "R" for the tailgate! :D

I wonder why they changed the name? Jazz seems like a perfectly good car name - perhaps there was another marque in the US that used the name long ago. The car does have a very Euro flavor, by which I mean that it's small, sporty, versatile, and gets good gas mileage.

Monday night on Top Gear, the Seven was featured in a silly event where the hosts had to assemble a Seven before the Stig could drive from one end of England to Scotland. I thought of you tootling around in your Seven. :) It's a very pretty little roadster!

Ah, yes, the pack of idiots building a car XD We torrent eps of Top Gear as they come out in the UK, so we saw that one a while back. I'm sure the Stig had a much better day than the rest of them did. (And you can see why we chose to have ours built for us!)

"Pack of idiots" is exactly right - we just died when they dropped the car on the floor. Of course, nothing beat the Stig getting pulled over in Scotland by some very Scottish policemen and not being able to talk back. Absolutely priceless.

I'm very much hoping to catch the episode where they buy cars in the US. The segment in Alabama was alarming (but at the same time, wtf did they expect? I'm sure the trio thought it was all for fun and didn't take seriously the reaction they might get from the locals... who weren't amused in the slightest.)

I think the assumption was that the stereotype must be outdated and exaggerated, and there can't really be a state where people that nutty are still that common. It would have been nice if they'd been right.
