Here they are! I picked the tsukesage up for a song - it was so pretty that I couldn't imagine why no one had bid on it. The obi is antique, and the only one I've seen that goes with my kurotomesode, which seems to have an odd color scheme. Alas, I didn't bring the kurotomesode down from the attic... some other time. ;)





I am so coming over your house for obi-tying lessons. ^_^ Did you teach yourself? *awe*

Thanks for the links! I was aware of the link from Ichiroya, but not the other one. Rising Sun Imports (those bloodsuckers) put out a DVD of how to tie obi that could be useful as well.

I did tie a bunko knot that stayed in for oh... five minutes. But it's a start!

Do take a pic of yourself in the Mt. Fuji kurotomesode! It looked so pretty.

I'm sure there will be much picture taking at the party I'm wearing it to! I'll make sure a pic is taken of me.

I'm still wavering on whether or not to do geisha makeup--I have very sensitive skin and "hypoallergenic" can sometimes mean nothing to me. I'd do it if I didn't have a presentation in the RTP the next Wednesday, and I don't want to compete for a travel award with a rashy face! Oh the horror. ;P :D

I have four yukata (this one, a pink one, two indigo), two hanhaba obi (this one and a pink/yellow one), three haori, one kurotomesode, one tsukesage, and one komon!
