Aug. 21st, 2001 10:28 amWent to my meeting last night to discover that in my first week of trying, I've lost 4 pounds. Yahoo! Yes, it's mostly water weight, but still. My jeans fit better. Only 11 more to go, and then 10 after that.
But that wasn't the best part of the evening!
No, nothing obscene...
The library where the meetings are held had a free book rack, and there I found two treasures: The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub, and a huge anthology of classic vampire tales! Including the seminal Carmilla by J. Sheridan Le Fanu and a Lovecraft tale! There's also a story by Tanith Lee that is absolutely incandescent. I wish I had a tenth of her talent.
And they were both FREE! Yay!

I quite liked it but I admit it, I'm more of a modern mainstream vampire fan >< *taps hand*
