I

do

like

thunderstorms

*BUT*

That doesn't mean I want to get up close and personal with a big bolt of lightnint either. ;)

Well, that pretty well sums it up for me too!

Thunder and hailstorms here.

I don't know... I like the sound of rain. I like the wind (okay, not the kind where trees go horizontal--in fact, tornados are the storm-related thing I don't like). I like to see flashes of lightning arcing across the sky, or a brilliant bolt (not too close) shooting vertically. And then that deep rumble of thunder...

In fact, I have many nature CDs that have thunderstorms on them, and I like to listen to them sometimes when I fall asleep.

I like thunderstorms, but only if I'm at home. If I'm at work or in my car, forget it.

Go baby go!

I went! :) But my progress was hindered by the closing of a portion of highway I use, and of course there was that new Paula Volsky book I just HAD to buy...

We have a five minute monsoon here last night. Driving home from the in-laws and all of a sudden as we come to the bottom of their street, WHOOSH comes the nearly blinding rain. On the up side, we got a shower going up the stairs and the car no longer needs a wash.

It was probably the same storm system. I arrived home just as the storm was really breaking and got a scolding for stopping at the bookstore on the way home. :D

Thunderstorms are great at any time of day. Though I do have to be carefull of my timing coming into work with them as I'd get a good soaking on my bicycle! Going home is fine though as it can be great when you know there's warm clothes at home and you don't have to sit around in trousers that stick to your tighs. Yuck.
