They are, beyond doubt, evil. This one was jettisoning tubes and making ferrules leak left and right. It drove me nuts.

I was once a synthetic organic / biological chemist in my undergrad days. i loved the intellecual challenge of both. But I couldn't hack the flash chromatography or LB media. I'm now a sort of analytical chemist and device designer, for my postgraduate sins.
