May. 15th, 2002 09:42 amIt will be interesting to see how the end of this day turns out.
Hubby decided to take the day off b/c he had his committee meeting yesterday and he didn't get to see his mom for Mother's Day (plus he was tired.) Lucky for me, because somehow between coming home last night and bedtime, I managed to lose my car key. Not all the rest of my keys, mind you, just the car key. I have a little clasp that holds my key rings together so that I can detach certain keys if I need them in a hurry.
Happily, hubby was able to drive me to work, and I have another key in the desk. Of all the days to lose a car key, at least it was today so I could bum a ride.
We have our supergroup meeting tonight, which hasn't failed to annoy me yet. We already blow one afternoon a week on group blathering, and this is three groups' worth of blathering. At least we get fed, but it's just one more distraction that I really do not need.

Glad you understand. It's like it's just One More Thing to get in the way and eat my time. This is a sterling argument for
more effective time management, but hell, it's me. Come on. That and I hate hate hate sitting in seminars and through talks. It makes me itchy.
I think I can space out. But spacing out usually equals falling asleep. :)

Mmm... sleep. I usually scribble and doodle a lot. I tend to be a listmaker, too, so I usually took advantage of lab meeting time to plan out my week (or weekend). :)
