They're not very extensive, truly - just something for the profs to go by if the student requests a recommendation later on in their careers. Many TA's don't put in additional comments about their students, but I do.
Not like they'll ever be used, in all probability, but hey...
That scares me, I had very little interaction with my TAs while I was in school, but I guess I had pretty good interaction with my professors so it is all good!
My classes are small enough that they can ask us to do annoying things like write recommendations. I have little to say about the quiet ones, unfortunately.
Oh oh... you get big reprimands from Arafel. :) Then again, most of the time you were someone else's problem... This is a lab course, though, and I doubt you didn't show up for labs. Precepts/recitations were a different story for me, I blew those off most of the time as well.
Ah, well to tell you the truth most of the time my last couple years I didn't do labs either, but that was just because you only had to show up if you needed help, and I chose to sleep in!
My labs were, at the least, two-credit courses, so not showing up meant a big F. P-chem lab was purest torture, but I got through it... and have the scars to show for it. Even the professors admitted that it was a crappy course.
Ah, usually our labs went with 4 credit courses, where you would do 3 days a week lecture and 1 day a week lab. Before semesters they were 5 credits, but being 4 credits is a better deal since they are semster credits they count more then a 5 credit course would.
