Jun. 22nd, 2001 12:52 pmToday I had an eye exam, so if there are a lot of typos, please forgive me. They put those goddamned dialating drops in your eyes, and then you can't focus on anything for hours. It's very frustrating!!! I can't READ!
The good news is that my prescription is stable, which is a relief; I already have Coke-bottle lenses in one eye and that Lasik surgery makes me very wary. My vision is bad enough already and I don't want to muck around with it. Ordered another set of contact lenses and all's well.
Contact lenses rule.
Still been a lazy week. We've been having a lot of stormy weather, and two nights ago it looked quite threatening as I considered going home. I decided to wait a bit to see if the storm broke, and while things looked ominous, nothing happened. So, I gathered up my things and left.
Well... that was a mistake.
I was well on my way to the parking lot when lightning flashed and a big "BOOM" split the air. Then, it started to rain. I mean buckets. I took off at a dead run (in Teva sandals, no less, which are not exactly engineered for running) through the rain, and while running in a rainstorm might sound very romantic, mostly it is very WET. By the time I got to the car, it looked like I'd taken a shower. Note to self: next time remember your umbrella.

In other news, I finally got another fanfic chapter out the door. I think it could still use some editing. Hmmm......

Date: 2001-06-22 11:22 am (UTC)And as for the rain, isn't that the way it seems to work with things. Sometimes you just gotta go and deal with what comes. :)
Glad to hear about the next chapter in you fanfic. Has it been posted to the internet yet?
