Date: 2002-03-13 11:58 am (UTC)I think My Cousin Vinny was a hilarious movie, but I also live in an area where it's not uncommon to encounter someone with an accent that really is like that. But you're right - Joe Pesci is freaking annoying. And Fran Drescher - someone should just wring her neck.
And while we're at it, Elaine made Seinfeld unwatchable for me. And I can't watch Friends because Monica and pals are just SO stupid.
Now I'm gonna be off on a rant for the rest of the day. *grins*

Date: 2002-03-13 12:50 pm (UTC)I never got into Friends... to annoying in concept, maybe? That's funny that you mention Elaine from Seinfeld. There are some episodes that Brian can't enjoy because of George's behavior... :)
I also can't stand to watch people embarrass themselves, and thus I avoid Ally McBeal like the plague. I watched one full episode, and it was the one where she's asked to give a eulogy for a former professor with whom she'd had an affair. She ends up saying wildly inappropriate things, of course, before the "heartfelt" conclusion. I wanted to crawl into a hole.
