Got to thinking about the Keirsey sorter and found this profile...

I'd say on the whole, it's pretty accurate.

My dad once showed me the sixteen "Prayers for the Types" and mine was "O Lord, help me to be accepting of other peoples' ideas, even if they are wrong." Funny.

LOL! So does the prayer (ENFP: God, help me to keep my mind on one th-Look a bird-ing at a time.) apply to you? I was amazed when my dad told me how seriously some businesses take the test!

Does your mother have a doctorate? Cool!

Yes, that is a very appropriate prayer for me... hehe... classic.

Yeah, my mom went back to school again after she had all of us (five kids!), and got a masters and then a PhD in counseling psychology. (Before that, she was an RN). She graduated when I was in sixth grade, and the whole thing made a deep impression on me... Even before she graduated, when I was in elementary school, I was already talking about going to college and then continuing on to graduate school. She really has been my inspiration. (My dissertation will most definitely be dedicated to her). :)

Wow, you have 5 sibs? That's a lot of kids in the house!! You must have been pushing Brady Bunch status over the bathrooms. :)

Your mom sounds like she has a lot of gumption and perseverance. My hat goes off to her. What a great role model.

I have two brothers and two sisters... my parents had three kids right away, and then about ten years later, my mom had me, and then my younger sister (we're a year and a half apart). So, she had a long break in between #3 and #4, though I'm sure with three kids you never get much of a break... heh... She said she intended to have me earlier, but didn't "get around to it." Gross.

Anyway, it was quite fun growing up in a big family (Christmas was always a riot!), and thanks to a finished basement (which added a few more bedrooms and a full bath), we weren't quite as squeezed for space as the Bradys were. In any case, as middle daughter, I suppose I would be Jan, eh?

My mom really is incredible. Around the same time she was finishing her PhD, she also got a black belt in karate! My three oldest siblings and my mom all took karate. (I wanted to take it, but the sports complex went bankrupt just as I was deemed "old enough" and I ended up skating instead.) I have memories of my mom swirling around a chain whip in the backyard... hehehe... She is very cool. A great role model indeed.
