The Random Thought Files
Feb. 19th, 2002 10:09 amYesterday while Melanie and I were walking to lunch, I saw that the crocuses and the snowdrops were up. In February? What is up with this winter?

The Great God of Doujinshi has compensated me for the nasty shock I got with my last order. For this, I am grateful. Perhaps it's a sign that it's getting to be time to buy space.

My husband came to pick me up last night for dinner and scowled at my Laguna figurine for a full minute, then made several rude comments. I scolded him, whereupon he said sth (with great good humor) like "Pardon me for making faces at the other man in your life; you come to work and he gets you all day." I didn't bother to change his mind. ^_^

I'm still waiting for my Photoshop Classroom in a Book. Grr.

Yesterday was one of those mornings where you have to convince yourself that you really ought to commute to work that day instead of going back to bed, which is the far preferable option.

Date: 2002-02-19 11:49 am (UTC)...Do you by any chance listen to Dar Williams? I saw this and instantly did a double-take, because one of my favorite lyrical excerpts is from her song "February"...
And February was so long
that it lasted into March
and found us walking a path alone together
You stopped and pointed
and you said "That's a crocus"
and I said "What's a crocus?" and you said "It's a flower"
I tried to remember
but I said "What's a flower?"
You said... "I still love you"
So February and crocuses sort of go together in my mind. =)

LOL ! Poooor Steve ! No wonder he began making faces when he saw Laguna ! There you had it, jealousy, plain and simple.
I'm glad to hear the great god of djs reimbursed your for the previous chock. Something pretty to rest the eyes on is so much better than a surprise of the nasty and tasteless kind.

Date: 2002-02-19 01:20 pm (UTC)Heh heh, good ! Laguna and Kiros looked very cute, although they may find themselves in competition. I think someone in the house has been eyeing the sailor dress to put someone else in... hrm.
