Feb. 11th, 2002 11:17 amIt was a nice weekend home with the folks. My husband was put out because when I walked in the door of my house, I started looking for the cat instead of looking for him! My protest was that I thought he was next door having pizza.
Bitsy is a wonderful creature, very loving and talkative. We had several conversations wherein I practiced my Domestic Cat. She cuddled on my lap while we were watching TV, buzzing away. I so miss having a cat.
Saturday we went to the Atlantic City boat show and climbed around on boats for a while. Don't think we'll be trading in this year, though. My mom bought me a new charm for my slider necklace with matching earrings. It's so nice to have my mom spoil me once in a while.
The next day we followed a newspaper article to Berlin, NJ to go to a Latin High Mass. Ever since I was a Latin scholar, I have wanted to go to a Latin Mass, so this was really fun for me. The singing was very lovely, though I could have skipped the choking clouds of incense. Overall, it was a tremendous improvement over the "Buddy Christ" tone of the Masses at our local church, even if the Mass was very very conservative (don't agree with what they're saying, but the Mass itself was gorgeous.) Not like I attend church regularly, but anyway...
Not much done last night but laundry and FFX. Did make burritos for dinner.
I have group meeting this week so if I'm quiet, that's why. Damn.

Date: 2002-02-12 09:59 am (UTC)No, we're not getting rid of our boat; it's a boat-owner-thing to always be looking for the next one. We'd like a larger one but we haven't found one that offers as much as our current model.
I don't plan to talk about the conference, just my (nonexistent) progress. :P

I'll look for you on ICQ after lunch. If you're not there I'll look later in the week. Have to get some dinner now.
