Just got back from the first TA meeting of the new semester. It was somewhat embarrassing because my name got pulled to present the experiment, and it had been so long since I'd done it that I wasn't sure what to talk about!

Still not happy about the teaching assignation but at least there are three other half-time TA's from my group who get stuck to do this as well. One of them is a fourth-year, so it wasn't limited to me. Misery loves company. One hopes that it will translate into a little more coin in the paycheck... enough to fund websites perhaps?

which reminds me that I get paid today. yay!

Did some chemistry yesterday. It is so nice to work with compounds that behave and can be purified by normal methods instead of being messy and recalcitrant. I wish it would last.

Back on with the headphones... work time.

At least you get paid, I know some TA's that get JS--about "work experience" for the resume I guess. @_X

Yeah, I keep reminding myself of that. :)

Three other half-time TAs is good news! At least you're not stuck alone. Payday is always a good day. :)

Payday is the best day! ;)

It is nice to have some other people I know who are in the same boat.

My two fellow sixth years (ahem) in lab also had to teach last fall, and the daily commiserations definitely helped us through the more painful parts of it. Hang in there!

Ooo - funding websites? Sounds like fun! What kind of site(s)? :)

By the way, it was nice to talk with you this afternoon.

It is a sad world when sixth-years are pressed into teaching duty. But as we both know, misery loves company!

I'm getting ready to start a site for my doujinshi collection.

It was nice to chat with you too! It's not often that I see you online. Let me know if you want any more of the stuff you sampled!

Definitely, but I'm not going to let you send me anything else until my burner's up and running. I still owe ya! :)

You didn't get out of the TA job hm ? Too bad.... but at least you're not carrying the course on your own. :) That's always something.

The paycheck finally came thru ? I'm looking forward to seeing your collection come up on the web. As you said, you should have some of the Western hemisphere's biggest collection of Laguna djs now. Laguna fans all over the West will thank you for putting the scans on the web. :)

There was no arguing with the job, but at least I wasn't the only one so selected; there's some comfort in that.

*grins* Yeah, there's a definite bias to my collection. You'll be the first to know when it comes online. Better make a banner so I can link to you! ;)
