Someone has to teach me how to use Tumblr, because that seems to be where all the fannish action is these days. IDG how it works. :(

I found Tumblr suprisingly easy to get a handle on after a couple days of using it (and installing the Missing E browser extension helps a lot), but it's buggy as hell and so not a good platform for lengthy discussions. I'm seriously going to miss the LJ way of doing things.

I'm so sad that fandom seems to be moving to Tumblr en masse -- sure it's good for sharing pictures, but you never seem to make friends the way you do on LJ and that's such a shame. Plus, discussions and fandom-related chat, where are the discussions and fandom-related chat?? ;______;

I've only used Tumblr for travel pictures (which are awesome!). I have yet to find where the fan pictures are.

As weird as it is to say, the easiest thing is to just get one. Find some tumblrs to follow (you can search for keywords, fuckyeah[fandomnamehere] often works, and, most importantly, I'm riceflavor. From there pictures will magically appear! And sometimes text. Mostly pictures. You use the weird little arrow picture to reblog pictures and you can add your own text or pictures or whatever.
