So I didn't get to see the Hunger Games this weekend. *sadface*

But I did see the premiere of Legend of Korra and it was awesomesauce! Kind of loving Tenzin a little bit - he's Sokka's nephew, whether he likes it or not. :D

I kind of relate to Tenzin like woah. Also, loved the jab about Zuko's mom. Oh, Avatar creators. I see what you did there.

Re: Zuko's mom

Those stinkers. We're never going to find out, are we.

Though honestly, there's the comic series that's still coming out that's supposed to bridge the gap between the original series and this one. MAYBE IT WILL BE THERE OMG

Korra was fantastic! Both the show and the character. And Tenzin, and his wife and kids, and... *g* Really, I love everybody so far. But it did make me awfully sad to see how much had changed in 70 years, and to hear Katara talk about how Sokka and most of her friends were gone. I knew about it already, of course, I just...hadn't expected to be quite so affected by it in the actual episode.

Even if steampunkiness was in its infancy during the events of ATLA, I agree that 70 years seems a bit short. Consider that most of the Gaang was 12 - 16 years old at the time of the first series. 70 years later, they'd be about 85, give or take... and Bumi was at least 124 years old. Does not compute why Katara would be the only one left alive. I can buy that Aang burned some of his candle in suspended animation, but not the others.

But yes, that was a big sniffly moment for me, too, and then my husband got all sad because Sokka is gone and Sokka was his favorite character.

I can't wait! Well, I am waiting because I don't want to watch it without the kid. Do you know if the Korra Nation video has captions available?

I don't know about captions. I didn't see audio options, but I didn't look, either.

I suppose either way I'll have to wait for fucking ever for episode 3.
