I've bought exactly one. Direct from the publisher, because one of the contributers emailed me and shared her story with me. To this day it is the single Vagrant Story DJ I've seen... which is why I've only bought one.

With the fandoms where people actually do put out DJ... for some reason, in fandoms with lots of pretty young teen/early twenties bishies, no one wants to draw the two older scruffy guys shagging.

Precisely my problem. I drool over the gruff 'n scruff testosterone variety of Dynasty Warriors. Most of the male/male doujins are all about the pretty boys. Some of my guys are never featured at all, and one only seems to show up in a fan favorite pairing - with a much younger pretty boy - that pushes a variety of my squick buttons. I'd love to contribute more burly, fuzzy manservice at some point in the future when my drawing skills are up to snuff.

Thanks to Laguna Loire showing up in Final Fantasy Dissidia 012, I'm back on that kick. It's like hanging out with friends you haven't seen since college.

Arrrgh, same problem. The one yaoi panel I've been to that I actually liked was run by a gay guy, and he posted up a lot of crack fan art and spent some time telling people what bara was. I was like FINALLY, LAUGHING INSTEAD OF SQUEALING AND GUYS THAT DON'T LOOK LIKE GIRLS.

And right down to one favored character showing up in doujinshi. Teshimine shows up in Get Backers doujinshi... only when he's going all shota on the character he adopted as a little boy. *weeps* Hottest guy in the series, there's another hot scruffy guy who is his "old friend" - and they make him a pedo to give one of the main characters more angst.

Yep, I admit I had my "Whoa, that Sephiroth guy is hot" phase, but I've seen enough slender men with delicate features and long pretty hair by now. (Note: Laguna is not slender or delicate, so his long hair is excused. ;))

I think it falls into "lol you dork" category, and I'm not sure anyone as dorky as Laguna could count as a bishie. They're supposed to be graceful and cool and stuff. Laguna is... neither. XD

Perhaps not coincidentally, I loved the guy in my icon all that much more when I saw his full-body character art and realized he was walking around all the time in track pants and sandals.

This has nothing to do with anything, but the whole sandals discussion is reminding me of how one of my coworkers decided to wear deck shoes without socks for an entire summer. He cleared the lab one afternoon.
