Squall - a sudden, violent gust of wind
Black squall - dark and threatening; usually accompanied by rain
White squall - a squall announced only by whitecaps on the sea, a whitish haze in the air, and a rushing sound.

There is no direct translation for "Squall" in Norwegian so the word always sounded like "just" a name for me, not a word like "Cloud". :)
