bounce and pounce

I don't know what crawled up Biscuit's butt today, but she's been off the wall. She's been doing the Kitty Dance, where she arches her back, puts back her ears, stiffens the base of her tail, and bounces into the room on four paws or two. She wanted to play so badly that she whined at me for several minutes, and then she attacked my leg.

Maybe it's because she didn't get to go outside today because of the rain. We put her out on her leash (yes, we leash the cat; we live on a busy corner) when we're out in the garden, and she just loooooves to watch the birdies.

Rocket "walks" on a leash, and mebil has had Q on the leash once.

Rocket will eventually be knitted an embarrassing kitty sweater for winter leash outings.

Actually, we do have a Roomba! Biscuit is not sure how she feels about it - she stares at it in fascination, but she runs away if it gets too close. Kinda like our front-loader washing machine, which similarly mesmerizes her.

Cats are funny.

Attacked Legs

I got Morgi to be a play toy for Rocket who liked to attack my legs.

Morgi got Chyna as a play toy for Rocket who liked to attack her legs. Morgi was annoyed to be used as a chew toy. I thought it was cute.

Chyna was happy when we got Q (sort of) to be the latest toy for Rocket. The problem Rocket has is Q is annoying him.

Living three doors down from a busy road and a quarter mile from a highway, we leash our cats as well. Generally they just like to sit in the yard. Indoors, we have two cat trees and enough open floor space for them to tear around in.

Hey! We called Rocket "Houdini" first for his escape artistry. We have also used "Rocket Copperfield". This is the reason Morgi wants to make something more challenging.

Ah! The "Kitty Dance" that you describe is something we around here have called "the crab walk" for some reason. Maybe it's the stiffness and the back/tail appearing like a shell? General Sherman used to do it a lot, and now Barriss Grimmjow is doing it occasionally. We always know to watch out for biting at those times. ^^;
