Weird cat

Last night, I made a salad for dinner, with red lettuce, peppers and cucumbers. I also pan-fried a little chicken to put on top. There were a few stray morsels of cooked chicken remaining, so I offered one to Biscuit. The chicken was not marinated or seasoned besides a little salt.

Biscuit: *sniffs*

Me: Look, kitty! Chicken!

Biscuit: I don't want this.

Me: What is wrong with you? Cats love chicken!

Biscuit: *does the fastidious paw-shake of disgust* Yuck. What I'd really like is some of that cucumber you're peeling.

Me: You are the strangest cat I've ever had. Most cats can't wait to have a nice piece of chicken or steak. You want peppers and cucumbers and string beans. *offers Biscuit a thin strip of skinless peeled cuke*

Biscuit: *CHOMP* *SNARF* I'm a vegetarian cat.

Emmie doesn't seem to like tuna. Its baffling.

Cats are entitled to like and dislike things, just like people, but I've never had a cat who was so devoted to veggies!

Yeah, I know they're entitled, but she also doesn't seem to like cheese or chicken. Although she happily snarfs down canned cat food. Eh. I had a friend whose cat preferred bread and fruits and so they named her Peaches.

Huh, someone else on my flist was aghast last week when she found out that her cat would happily eat broccoli. Maybe the vegetarian trend has finally made its way to the feline population?

Maybe they're becoming more health-conscious!

Oh, Biscuit. Such a strange cat!

She's definitely not normal in the "supposed to be a carnivore" department. (Though I think she'd happily catch and eat a bird if I let her out.)

Mine started to take a liking to scrambled eggs. I would LOVE for mine to eat veggies. When I eat foods that aren't meat, I always let him sniff it cause that way if he realizes he doesn't like the smell to it, he'll leave me alone and eat in peace.

Q*Bert has just now realized that ham is yummy. She's almost four. I guess the other cats begging for it didn't clue her in.

Expensive taste you have there, Biscuit!

Haven't tried giving veggies to Grimmjow yet, but in the event that she does eat them, she will officially be a goat. The only thing she won't eat so far are Sun Chips and salmon-flavored treats ('though I suspect the latter might have been a bit stale). Everything else - even egg shells - is food.

My first cat loved Granny Smith apples.

Cats are wonderfully odd. :)

Rocket loves pasta, anything from McDonald's, shrimp (or was that Chyna), tomatoes, and anything else Morgi says cats don't like.
