I once thought that nutters who try to make their pets "vegan" were the worst (HELLO PEOPLE, DOGS AND CATS ARE CARNIVORES, GET OVER IT) but this leaves me speechless. Why would you ever do that to a cat? What is WRONG with you?

The worst part is that I'm sure she had eager buyers. Fuck all of you.

Right, that coming from a cruelty inspector in a country which considers it perfectly reasonable to cut off all a kittens toes because its inconvenient for them to scratch the furniture. Frankly, the piercings look harmless in comparison.

Is it any wonder people consider animals to be mouldable accessories and perfectly valid victims of cosmetic surgery, when the law allows them to chop puppies' ears off entirely?

True, true. Declawing is every bit as cruel. My husband was grumbling about kitties clawing furniture, and I made sure he understood that declawing a cat is like cutting off a human's fingertips at the first knuckle. My parents had my first cat declawed when I was about five, and he was (understandably) very unhappy about anyone touching his paws from then on.

Dogs actually can live on a vegetarian diet, though you have to work hard at it, they're more omnivores. (Who knew?) But cats will go blind.
