"It's powerful," Shizuku says of a 2001 Bordeaux, suddenly overwhelmed with images of a turntable, guitars and Freddie Mercury. "But it also has a meltingly sweet taste, with an acidic aftertaste that catches you by surprise. It's like the voice of Queen's lead vocalist, sweet and husky, enveloped in thick guitar riffs and heavy drums."
*snerk* This is one of the reasons I think I'll always love manga--in the right hands, any subject can become pure, world-destroying Awesome. Wine, baking bread, eating bento, board games....
This almost wants to make me seek out scanlations. The part about the wine being reminiscent of Freddie Mercury's voice is so bizarre that it's awesome. Well, hell, if Japan can get awesome manga out of ancient board games, boxing, and cute little talking microbes . . .
