Okay, thunderstorms, you've been at it for close to 24 hours now. Kindly throttle back so that I can get some sleep.

In other news, I have FFIV for the DS. w00t. True to the GameInformer review, the voice acting adds nothing. Unlike FFT, which had some great voice work. Then again, that could have just been Balthier.

Mmm, Balthier.

Speaking of which, finally beat FFT after mucking around in it for 100+ hours. The ending... well, didn't see that coming, for sure.

Is it just so obvious that Mullonde is Leá Monde from Vagrant Story that no one mentions it? mullenkamp, any thoughts?

...Well! I'm going to have to get around to playing the PSP FFT, because with that romanization, it does seem a lot more suspicious. Having so far only played the PSX release, it took me a minute to figure out you were talking about "Murond Death City" instead of some new dungeon. ;)

(Gah, the old translation was awful. I suspect playing the PSP version will pretty much be like playing a game with a new plot and familiar gameplay.)

I think you'd enjoy the remake. The script was flawless, so they must have gone through and redone the whole thing. The cutscenes are very nice and well animated, and the voicework is good. (Phil LaMarr continues to amaze me with his range of voices; he's Ramza.)

And, my god, Balthier. (He's also a great addition to the party - like Mustadio, but way better.)

Mullonde = Lea Monde makes sense, doesn't it? Mullonde is an island, and isn't the city of Lea Monde an island as well? Makes sense that there'd be a habit of summoning dark things there over the centuries...

Pas got FF4 and he says he's enjoying it so far. I really should pick up on the PSP FFT again. I was having so much fun leveling up I disregarded the storyline. XD

I'm playing Tactics A2 now. I don't give a shit about the story but I CAN'T STOP TRYING TO OPEN UP MORE JOB CLASSES.
