moonwiseWeekend's over.
Festivus at the Q's was pretty much okay; the food was great of course. Dealt with Ginger decently this time. She wasn't feeling well so her energy level was tolerable.
Thanksgiving and other large-scale gatherings remind me of why I like to disappear for half an hour at a stretch to get away from the psychic press of too many people.
The drive home last night was not something I want to repeat anytime soon. Driving home in a steady downpour on roads that are flooding do not do good things for the adrenaline levels.
Some annoying person sniped one of my dj's last night on eBay. Must have been at the absolute last minute, or else the winning/losing page wasn't updated properly. *grumpy* At least the two I was really gunning for are in my theoretical possession. And with 19 minutes and a large bid on one... this humble person can't say she's innocent.

Date: 2001-11-26 11:56 am (UTC)Family time is draining. It's fun - but for about two hours, half an hour if children are involved. We were fortunate in that my uncle's hellions went elsewhere for dinner. Sorry that you didn't make it home, but sometimes it's nice to have a holiday with just the two of you.
Driving in the rain at night... *shudder* it was one of those drives where you keep the car on the road by instinct and by following the taillights of the car in front of you. I don't see so well at night anyway so it was a real test of nerves.
