Greetings to ya, bonnie lads and lassies, I'm back from Scotland. Flight back was uneventful, but seven hours on an airplane is way more than enough. Very nice trip, though yesterday was a bit more squirrely. Yay for a two-day workweek!

Pictures and stories to follow.

We did have a very nice time, maybe a little too relaxing! :) Scotland is very rural, so it feels unhurried.

Sorry that Edinburgh couldn't have worked out, but I think it was for the best! I didn't get to spend as much time in the city as I wanted, since we had a dinner function to attend that night.

Then I agree it was for the best I didn't come over.

The weather was horrendous that weekend, so it wasn't good flying weather.

I'm sorry we couldn't have hooked up somehow! We flew into Glasgow and drove first to a friend's house near Crail in Fife, and then we went to St. Andrews. Lots more cows and sheep than people, I'm thinking. :) Am enjoying your photo-fest too!

When you were around, I was down in London working, so that was never really going to pan out, sadly.

I spent a week in St Andrews once, in August. It was cold ::shiver:: I'd been wearing crop tops and swimming in the river in the south, and then I wore jumpers on that east coast!

Why did I think you were now working in the US? Given the exchange rate, you're better off working in the UK!

The weather was pleasant when it wasn't raining. Still, I wouldn't have jumped in the ocean!

Yeah, the exchange rate's definitely been in the UK's favour the last couple of years.

pleasant when it wasn't raining

That's always been my assessment of the northern parts of Britain, but sadly that's rather a large qualifier!

I resized a couple, will try to get more done tomorrow. There are a lot!

Plane security was tight, but I managed to get my Burt's Bees lip balm safely through in my pocket. XD So annoying that you can't bring a drink with you any more!
