A puzzle for the ages

I am not a fan of sour cream.

Nor am I a fan of ranch dressing.

Then why is it, when sour cream is combined with ranch dressing mix in a bowl, does it turn into such pure and unadulterated bliss? The kind where the vegetable is merely a conveyance to get as much of it into your mouth at one time as possible?

I think it's a law somewhere that nothing you serve on Super Bowl Sunday may be good for you. But, I'll keep the yogurt in mind for next time. :)
