We have Dove brand soap in the US, but we also have (unrelated) Dove chocolate, which is about on a level with Cadbury's IMO. A Dove Bar is a sinful confection of wonderfully rich vanilla ice cream covered with chocolate, and eventually the company started selling the chocolate on its own.

..You know, my husband has a pal from Scotland who comes to the US and laughs his ass off at a type of chicken restaurant out in the West called Kenny Rogers Chicken. Of course, your average American will not know the alternative meaning of "roger..."

I seem to remember a story about a conversation a Brit was having with an old woman from the Deep South and how he was utterly boggled when she said that her dad would tan her fanny when she was bad.
