Oh fine, everyone else was.

10 Things I've Done That You Probably Haven't

1. Gone to a Formula 1 race.

2. Taken apart the guts of an HPLC pump to replace the check valves.

3. Been a part of a funeral parade involving a fire truck as a hearse

4. Met Jared Diamond and totally fangirled him

5. Taken Irish lessons. Bá mhaith liom Guinness, más é do thoil é!

6. Suffered through seven years of grad school

7. Eaten kidneys in a Paris restaurant (not on purpose)

8. Kept a Christmas poinsettia alive until next Christmas

9. Had three cats sit on me at once

10. Paddled a canoe to the best diving rock in Maine for a picnic and a swim

The best part was how they all glared at one another, but didn't move.

Kittens count!

When are you done with grad school, or are you done already?

Hopefully finishing this year. (Didn't I say that last year?) Working on it every day. *grumble*

I am envious of number 5. For I always wanted to speak Gaelic. The closest I get is singing along with Enya. Just curious..what did you say? Also what do kidneys taste like?

Irish, not Gaelic, actually. ;) Gaelic = Scots Gaelic; Irish is related to Gaelic the way Ukrainian and Russian are related. What did I say? Learned to say things like "Open the door" and "None of your business" and "I would like tea please."

Kidneys taste bad, even in cognac sauce. That's all you need to know. :)

Thanks for the clear up on the language.

Also I never plan to eat kidneys yuck!

My Grandmother was born in Ireland, and she did try to teach me some gaelic once, but I'm afraid I wasn't a good student at it. Then again, the phrases she was trying to teach me would all have shocked a sailor, but still...

#9 sounds familiar. Pi is a HUGE bed hog.

Oh, too bad you didn't retain the Irish. XD I can say "kiss my ass" but that's pretty tame.

Is Pi your cat?

Oh. Goodness. Yes, Pi is a cat.

That reminds me of the time my sister tricked me into eating tripe. That was not cool. But at least we weren't in public, so I could yell at her for it.

O_O I'm not sure which is worse. Kidneys or tripe... kidneys or tripe... they're both disgusting.

Hi there ^-^

Over the past month, my boyfriend got me hooked on Final Fantasy VIII. I just came back from visiting Ocean Dreaming, and I love your site. Laguna is possibly my favorite character in that game -- and not only do I appreciate good fanfiction as well as your love story between Laguna and Raine. That site is full of good-happy feelings ^-^ You write very well.

I also love the Lady Althea icon. I can't wait to see the live action version when they finally finish making it! Have you read the book by Peter S. Beagle? It's possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever grazed my eyes on...

Hey, thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the site - haven't updated it in a long time. Sadly, obsessions come and go. Laguna is a very likable guy, but there's so much about his story that is left untold. I've seen people mope about how Laguna and Julia were meant to be and yet they couldn't be together, but I think that he chose to stay with Raine and give up his starstruck dreams for someone he could love.

The live-action version of TLU - have they made any progress on that? I saw the website years ago, but nothing's come of it.

Thanks for dropping by!

It seems only yesterday my obsession with Final Fantasy X was a pumping, thriving machine craving more and more every day. Although I still hold a tender spot for that game, my Auron obsession has died a little. Damn that thing called school...

As for Last Unicorn, just added to the site:

Hope you're well these days.

I can't afford an internet connection till the 16th and will have a techie come and hook me up then. It'll probably be much surfing from home then. See you then. :) (Am typing this from my parents' comp.)
