Yesterday was one of those days where you turn around and go back to bed.

Woke up, got ready for work, etc. Husband leaves for work, I dry my hair and get dressed, go out to start the car.

Car doesn't start. Dead battery. Shit. Call husband; he comes home to jump the car because there's no one else around to ask for a charge. Okay, on the way to work finally.

On the 202/206 traffic circle, minding my own business in the left ring of the circle. Idiot from behind swerves into my car, hitting my driver's side wheel and spinning me out into traffic. Fortune smiled on me - no oncoming cars or I might not be writing this right now. Cop saw the whole thing, we pull over and the idiot in the other car tries to blame it on me running a nonexistent stop sign or some shit like that. Call husband again to tell him what happened; he races down to be with me. Policeman issues a careless driver ticket to the moron, who starts trying to blame me again and insisting that he's being discriminated against because he's Hispanic. Bullshit says I, in my head of course. Traffic court on Oct. 1st, oh joy.

After all this, battery dies again and I get another jump. We replace the battery and I go home. Insurance forms, phone calls, trip to the body shop for the car, $1500 for repairs provided the suspension isn't damaged, etc.

*sigh* Didn't bother to go to work because it was so late.

Made dinner for the first time in a while; when I make dinner, it's always a production. I tried my hand at making bread, and I found that getting yeast was a challenge.

Three stores. No yeast. What, is it not Yeast Breeding Season or something? Why would it be so hard to obtain some common microorganisms? Found said microorganisms in block form at the fourth store.

Note: yeasts do not smell very nice. Bleah.

Made the yeasts happy in warm water, gave them some flour and salt, and they went to work belching out CO2 to make the bread rise. Turned out pretty well, and I got rosemary foccacia at the end of the day. Not bad for someone who hasn't the foggiest notion what she's doing.

Back to work. I hope something doesn't explode in my face today.

I'm very glad to hear you are okay, though it sounds like you could easily not have been--scary.

Sounds like you did not have a good Tuesday at all--hope things are better today, and especially tomorrow (no particular reason =P).
