Playing FFX-2 for more than 2 hours at a stretch will give you a headache. >_<

One of these days I will get around to commenting on the game. The best thing I can say about it right now is that it's fun. However, considering what it's a sequel to, just fun is not enough. FFX was so affecting and the story was so bittersweet that I really would have liked to see something other than Charlie's Angels with hobag outfits to follow it up.

And can I just put in right now that I was somewhat skeeved at the heavy innuendo when you give Leblanc a backrub? Why didn't they just quit beating around the bush (ha, pun intended) and make it as perverted as it sounds? Oh, and the amount of Nooj X Leblanc hentai out there must be staggering.

That having been said, FFX was such a good game that it will probably carry me through FFX-2. If the ending sucks, I will personally go to Square and demand my money back.

One last note: Brother X Yuna otp. *snicker*

A couple of my friends are playing X-2 now... one seems to really like it, but the other refers to it as 'Pretty Princess Dress-Up'. Ack.

I almost got through FFX. I haven't checked walkthroughs, but the fight I was stuck on seemed like a final-ish fight. I guess they all do, though. *sigh*

"Pretty Princess Dress-Up." Yeah, that's about right.

What fight were you stuck on? I have to admit that I found the final bossfights to be among the easier fights I've had in FF, so I'm curious to know. The fight with Yunalesca was a toughie, I'll say that much.

Hmm... Seymour, I think. He's got some spinny things behind him which determine which magic attacks he was going to do. I was pretty well by keeping up the appropriate Null magic as long as I knew what that was going to be, but that wasn't always true.

Welladay, if you don't mind some helpful hints.. :D

There are two ways you can handle the Seymour bossfight - either some old-fashioned leveling up (I have to admit that I had no trouble with Seymour at all) or making armor. Something like a Tetra Shield with 3-4 empty slots should do nicely - you can add Water, Fire, Thunder, or Ice Eater to it with the proper amount of Gems, which you usually get from Flans IIRC. Steal repeatedly from the proper monster in the Monster Arena if you don't feel like haring off all over Spira. If you manage to make a Tetra Elemental shield (bracer, whatever) you'll have a chara who's immune to all Seymour's attacks. Also, if you can have someone learn Doublecast and have a 1MP cost or something similarly decadent, you can whop his ass with Ultima or Holy and be well on your way to Sin. Good luck!

*dryly* Yes, I know. But that hasn't stopped Brother from developing a galloping crush on Yuna in FFX-2, cousin or not.

oh man, yea although i haven't played ffx-2 i did watch fourish play the back rub scene was absolutely ridiculous. not to mention that there's a secret way to get into the hot spring up in khimari's mountain (forgot the name of it) where you get to see some serious fan service as the girls bathe with lots of lesbian sexual innuendo and skimpy bathing suits.

i really wanted to finish ffx because i was really enjoying the game but got stuck on the fight with seymour in that big floaty machina thing on khimari's mountain and just forgot to come back to the game...i'm such a bad gamer...shame on me...

make that two snickers.
they make it sound like its no big deal so much that you forget that they're cousins.

COUSINS.

*End rant here*

I did see a part where there's some sitting around in a hot spring, but there wasn't much innuendo. Perhaps later in the game...?

That battle on the mountain is frigging hard. I have to say, though, that if you level up enough after that, it's the last really hard battle. Well, Yunalesca is tough, that's true... and she casts Zombie all the time.

hee, yes. Cousins. In another day and age, that wasn't so weird. O_O
