Because I'm just this bored.
A survey:
01. your live journal "user name" & what it means:
Arafel - longtime online handle. Is a corruption of Aiobheil (or so C. J. Cherryh uses it) which is the name of the last of the elves in the Dreaming Tree duology.
02. on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) how well does your livejournal represent who you actually are?
I'd say about a 7... I have little to hide, but the stuff I want hidden stays hidden.
03. how much about your life do you post to lj?
Depends on how bored I am and how chatty I'm feeling. I try to do a rundown once a week, but it's been lapsing recently. The most personal stuff stays behind friends tags.
04. is there anything you refuse to post about?
I don't post very personal stuff, generally. It's just not anyone's business but my own. And I don't get into philosophy.
05. on a scale of 1-10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others?
I don't think I'm a terribly interesting person, truly, so I'd say about a 5. I'm not someone who posts revealing insights or current events or anything like that, just an ordinary Jane.
06. from who/how did you find out about lj?
fireceremony got a bunch of us to join when the Nosgothic Realm was starting to buckle under its own weight.
07. has anyone ever joined lj because of you?
I gave out a couple codes. Does that count?
08. what proportion of your posts are friends only?
Probably about 40%. Again, the interesting stuff, the non-fluffy stuff, is all behind tags.
09. what is your favorite interest on lj?
Er... nosing into other people's lives?
10. Has anything on lj ever caused you to establish, rethink, or even change your belief or position on something?
Yep. I have no details.
11. how often do you respond / comment on other peoples journals?
Not as often as I should. I mean well, though...
12. do you prefer to write in your journal, read other journals?
Write in my own. I'm not much of a voyeur.
13. have you ever had something mean said to you or been stalked, harassed, or got into an argument/flame war on lj (or did it to someone else)?
Yeah, but it was a long time ago. And said person had some problems.
14. have you ever banned someone from your journal?
No, happily I have no known enemies here.
15. who are your favorite lj friend(s) and why?
I don't like to pick friends, because I don't like feeling second best.
16. how many of your LJ friends have you actually met?
9.
17. of all of the people on lj you know of, who is the most like you?
ssilverfish. My long-lost twin sister. :)
18. why are you most likely to add someone to your friends list?
Prolly cause they added me, or we have some interest in common that was established independently of LJ.
19. do you automatically add friends to your journal if they add you first?
Pretty much, I'm flattered when anyone adds me first. :)
20. what is the most likely reason you wouldn't add someone to your friends list?
They annoy me in some way.
21. is your "significant other" on lj?
No, thank goodness.
22. have you ever wanted to meet someone on lj?
Yep! And it has happened.
