The wheels just keep on turning.

Sorry for my silence recently, folks. I have been working like a nutcase because of how little time I'll actually be around in July, so it's nothing personal. :)

Next, off to Maine for a week.

Then, it's time to hit the ground running and scoot off to Otakon.

Tried on the dress last night and it fits very strangely. Some fabric will have to be removed in the back. Thank goodness the sewing machine is portable and I can bring the project with me on vacation. The front looks all right, at least, and the effect of the lacings is pretty neat. Even hubby liked it.

Off to make some phone calls.

I didn't realize before just how hectic a schedule you had this mongh--good luck keeping it all juggled.

I thrive on adversity. errr....

It fits okay in the front, but there's way too much material in the back. It looks fixable, but it's a two-person job - one (me) to wear it, and another person to mark where the alteration needs to be made.

Your July sounds like mine. Off tomorrow to drive to FL, up to OH next week and back home the week after. Cub Scout camp that Thursday-Saturday and then fly down and back again on Sunday. I'm going to need a vacation from my vacation! lol

I think you said this, but are you going to be dressed up on Sunday?

I don't think I'll be dressed up. I have Reno for one day and Amalthea for the other, and I'm guessing that'll be Friday and Saturday, in that order. But, please feel free to don a costume if that is fun! You could go as a sailor, ha ha ha. :)
