For those of you who have not recognized it:

Today is D-Day. Today, June 6th, 10,000 Allied men lost their lives, but their sacrifice helped to turn the tide of a war. Today we should remember all our servicemen, who have answered the call of their country.

Never forget what they did, and are doing, for us.

Damn, I forgot all about today.

I second what you said Arafel. Maybe it's time to break out 'Saving Private Ryan' again and watch that with the family later.

But would you be watching an accurate portrayal of what happened on that day? Or another Hollywood 'let's change history' event? Don't get me wrong, I like the film, and it does indeed portray horrors of war. Accurate though? Psssh.

As long as the right people in RL are honoured, rather than what the film suggests, then I don't care.
