Woody Allen comes out in support of Roman Polanski

Well, of course he did.

I saw Woody Allen and Soon-Yi at Cartier once, about the time they announced their engagement. He gave me the creeps.

You know, I thought the Polanski case was much ado about nothing until I read more about it. (Smoking Gun has the transcripts of the girl's testimony.) Plus, fleeing before sentencing does not count as paying for what he's done. Polanski may be a great director, but he's a criminal and a coward. He shouldn't get away with rape just because all this time has passed.

Ewww, ewww, ewww. Polanski didn't pay for what he'd done. He escaped and lived the high life overseas. He's a rapist who should go to jail.
