Ordered the plane tix (surprisingly cheap! $300 to fly cross-country!)

We're flying Continental. It sometimes costs less if you don't wait too long. Also we're taking the red-eye back because we want some more time in CA (and there won't be too much out of us on the following Monday... *tired*)

I should be all set once I get a credit card number to put on the application (I can either wait a day or two and get one from my advisor, or ask our tech now and she can get it for me by next week...heh), and then I will indeed fax it... we're usually running around at the last minute on these kinds of things in my lab, so I doubt we'll get our shit together on the plane tickets for another week or two. Everyone is very unorganized. My advisor will be speaking at the meeting, and she's not even registered yet! Those nutty academics...

Sooner is better than later on plane tix, in general; I think you pay more the closer it gets. Hopefully you'll get a good rate though!

Hehehe... I will likely be cornering my advisor and our post doc by the end of the week on the registration bit.

As for the plane tickets, since I'm not personally paying for them, the incentive to get my shit together soon isn't incredibly strong. I know that's quite irresponsible, but... *shrug* We'll get there. :)
