The initial report on Trinity Blood

I downloaded two eps of Trinity Blood, and while it may be too soon to tell anything concrete, here's my take so far.

If Hellsing and Trigun got together and had a baby, that would be about right. Dorky, bighearted priest (Abel Nightroad) who wants to save everyone turns into scary badass bloodsucker by releasing power restrictions. He has a brother named Cain who appears to have killed someone female, and Abel is upset about that.

See what I mean?

The image of Vash waving his little magic wand and turning into Alucard is amusing the hell out of me right now.

I've seen the first 3 eps of Trinity Blood and while Abel is a bit of a cutie, the premise is just too feeble for me to stand at the moment. If I hear it gets better somewhere along the way, I might reconsider, but for now... no. Not when there are masterpieces like Bleach and SamCham I can wibble over.

Not to always be the Chrno Crusade girl, but there are quite a few similarities with that as well. Ah, Gonzo, you love your religiously supernatural themes, don't you?

No, it's more like having Vash as the protagonist, only Vash turns into Alucard when he's pissed. I'll send you what I've got, no problem! :)

Anderson was the best part of Hellsing. I wish he'd gotten more screentime!

I see it as something new to watch when I've run out of Bleach. Besides, I have a severe soft spot for dorky anime heroes. ^_^

I suppose there's a point in anime where everything looks like something else. Definitely the religious themes from Chrono Crusade look similar, yes.
