The new intern is a friggin' gift from god after Annie.

Me: I like your shirt - it has a lovely Asian theme.

Her: Thanks! I love Asian-themed things.

Me: I do too! Unfortunately, it kind of extends to me being an anime fiend.

Her: I like anime too! I've seen Sailor Moon and all that...

Intern and I are talking a bit about mutual interests. She likes anime but does not know what to watch, since the Comcast on-demand is not too specific.

Her: So what's Trigun about? Is it romantic, dramatic...?

Me: Oh, don't encourage me. Really. You're not doing yourself any favors.

I love finding open-minded newbies. They're like putty to shape to your will... you can get them hooked on the good ones and classics fast and bypass all the crap titles we had to watch through the process of self-discovery.
