The end of WHR is actually quite satisfying, I thought. Didn't explain everything but didn't leave you gnashing your teeth. Oh, and more Nagira. ♥

My problem with WHR is that it got boring. There was a lot about the series that I wanted to fangirl relentlessly - the use of ogham, the use and interpretation of runes, that kind of thing.

One criticism I had about the series (and this is, of course, unavoidable; anime is nearly always set in Japan, just like American cartoons are set in America) is that witch-hunting in Tokyo felt out of place with all the European influences on the mythology of the series. They took the background out of a hefty dollop of Celtic and Norse magic, seasoned it with a long tradition of European witch-hunts, and transplanted it to Japan, and it didn't quite work for me.

It picks up quite a bit at the end-- it doesn't weave things together from the past as effortlessly as FMA does, but it makes an effort, and there's a good deal of real suspense by the final episodes.

I agree with the out-of-place but I liked that quite a bit, actually-- it emphasized, for me at least, that Robin really was out of place.

61 Ima, Sokoni Iru Boku (-)

That's the proper Japanese title for Now and Then, Here and There, though I want to say they spelled it wrong.

Sadly, I don't speak Japanese, so I'd never have known that. Thanks.

Ack! I skipped that one cause I didn't know the Japanese title. I wanna see more of that. The little boy was adorable. They both reminded me of Pazu and Sheeta. ^_^

I don't speak Japanese either - I'm just a fangirl. :} Whoever snuck that in there without the English name was kinda cheating.

Fans like to call it "Imaboku," which is a helluva lot easier to say over and over again than Now and Then, Here and There...

It's my personal favorite anime by far. :}

Wow. All those titles, and I've only seen a couple of DBZ episodes. :O

I'm sorry you had to see those. No one should have to watch DBZ. :)

Your icon is beyond cute. It makes me all smiley just to see it.

I call it NTHT! :) But Imaboku rolls off the tongue, true.

Yeah, DBZ was kind of different from what I expected. :)
And thanks, I thought to upload something else than my usual depressing icons of doom for a change. The original image is here (http://ragnarok.gamona.de/img.php?img=/site_images/cards/vadon.jpg&caption=Vadon%20Card). It overwhelmed me with its general positiveness. :)
