It seems that the more passionately we believe in something, the more we are willing to cling to those beliefs, even in light of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. But then again, if we don't believe in something, then perhaps we are prone to *drifting* through our lives, lost in a sea of confusion and uncertainty. Our beliefs and faith (in whatever that might be) is like a lighthouse's beacon, guiding us.

Hmm... But if we did find a way to discover the ultimate truth about what *it* is all about, would we like the answer we found?
