Today we all had a good laugh at work when a story was related wherein one of the analysts thought that one of the batch records he was reading said that something should be "scrumptiously clean," when in fact it read "scrupulously clean." After a great deal of fun was had at his expense, we discussed whether there should be a "scrump" scale to rate the scrumptiousness of foods. The base unit of 1 scrump = a baby carrot was posited (I think because I had them in my lunch) and then it was generally agreed on that Kraft Macaroni & Cheese made the original way with half a stick of butter would be 100 scrumps.
I think we need more points on the scale, though. Scrumps are kind of like Scoville units for the hotness of peppers. What's your scrump value for your favorite scrumptious foods? I'm thinking that cooked spinach is about -50, at least for me.
