Weekend notes

I suppose that would be true if I were a federal worker. But, I'm not. Husband drove me in to work today, and he'll be dropping the car off to be fixed and picking up my rental car for me. Hopefully the body shop will repair the damage quickly.
Went to visit the inlaws over the weekend, and it was pretty much okay; got along with Ginger for once and volunteered to go to the mall with my mother in law. Somewhere in there was a supremely good mood. It very quickly got tiresome to drag the Bionic Boot along but Mom curtailed her shopping once it became obvious that my ass was dragging.
Sunday was somewhat unsettling, as most people know by this point. I sincerely hope that the leaders of this country have thought these strikes through completely, because if they haven't, this is going to be one huge mess. At least the USA and pals are going to also lead a humanitarian effort as well.
Despite the sobering news, it was still Sunday, and that meant football. I watched the Cardinals pull out a real slap-in-the-face victory against the hated Eagles, and my mom and dad watched the Giants beat the Redskins up at Giants Stadium. The win-and-loss combination meant that Mom and I got to sing the Song of Great Victory on the phone that evening. Always fun for me.
What else... I have absolutely nothing of any depth to impart right now. My back hurts from dragging this damn cast up stairs, that's about most of what's on my mind right now. :P
