All right, interested HR cosplayers!

Since I'm definitely going to Otakon this year, I'm going to order my Nemu-wings. This means all y'all who are cosplaying with me ought to think about doing the same! And, concurrently, searching wardrobes/thrift stores for appropriate apparel. Backs will require alterations for wings to fit through. I have no freakin' idea how to do this, other than to slash the backs, reinforce with interfacing, and put in buttons (time to learn buttonhole attachment?)

The wings I'm looking at are about $10.00. If anyone has a good idea how to dye the wings grey, please do post; otherwise, I'm going with white.

I was looking at these...they're not all fuzzy looking and more natural....they photographed them at an angle(so they look a little wierd), but really, I think they're nice. I already have a black pair just like these.

and they're cheaper....'cept for shipping....eww.

You also need the wings to make sure the shirt fits right. *sigh* What's wrong with the good old USPS?

Definitely. We would have met up last year if I hadn't gotten ill. >_< No drinking this year.

I'm going to recycle the Seung Mina 2p outfit if my husband can replace the blade on the zanbatoh, but otherwise, no outstanding cosplay plans. :P I assume you're doing Pudding?

I ordered a pair of white wings off of ebay.....but i've been having some serious trouble getting them delivered. USPS had delivery confirmation, but it's pretty pointless when no one signs for your package. They got sent to my college a month ago by accident....and since have been returned to sender. so i have to pay shipping and handling all over again. >_<

as for dye. Black watercolors. are perfect for dying the feathers gray. err. grey? whatever.

It'll be fun.

i'm thinking some kind of styrofoam....or newspaper with plaster gauze wrapped around sort of paper mache` thing. painted yellow w/ glow in the dark paint. hrm.

Meep. Halos and the making-of halos was something we were discussing the other day, and I haven't had any good ideas. At Party City, you can get a headband with a tinsel halo pretty cheap; the tinsel halo could be tossed and replaced with something light (your Styrofoam idea?) I'll probably wander around the craft store someday and see if any ideas spring at me.
