Jan. 15th, 2004 12:58 pmIt is a good day to fic and the day is not over yet.
Cancelled the hair appt because of road freeze fears. Next Wednesday night is going to be hellish. I wonder if I could get away with taking the whole day off on Thursday.
Seung Mina shirt: Done.
Jumper: Done except for the grommets on the back, which are causing me consternation. The brocade frays like crazy, and there's no interfacing tucked inside to keep it from falling apart.
Sash: Done.
Pokey stick: Husband is working on it. He is the best.
Shoes: I bought these cute little slippers online, but they're a tich too big. Went to a shoe store in Bernardsville to get inserts to make them a little smaller. The people in there looked at me like I was a bug, even though I had my nice coat and expensive handbag with me. Rich towns suck sometimes. And, the inserts aren't going to cut it, they'll need cotton balls in the toes or something.
There's still some sewing to do, but it's a relief to know that most of it's finished, esp since we're going to be in Bethlehem for tbe better part of the weekend for my husband's hooding and graduation. I hope this is the last time I ever have to set foot in that crappy town.
now, back to the lab. Recent events here have been a case and point that PhD in back of your name does not make you smart, and may even subtract about a thousand common sense points.
