I got home today from the mall and had to turn right back around again.

Why?

My husband's car was stolen.

My husband's precious Integra, which he has loved and honored and polished, which he has spent six years babying and modifying and engineering, was stolen by some lowlife modder, and now it's in a thousand pieces on the floor of some chop shop.

Just to add insult to injury, the traffic into the mall was so bad that it took me an hour to make a trip that normally takes 10 minutes.

Funny how you can get so heartbroken over a piece of machinery. You never love like your first love again, though.

Merry fucking Christmas.

Oh, Arafel . . . I am so sorry. I know that's a terrible, frightening feeling. I had a boyfriend whose car was stolen -- not five doors down from a police station. No lie. However, they caught the guy with it -- he'd been out mudding in it! (It was a 4WD Jeep.) However, it cleaned up just fine, and he drove it for several years after.

I hope and pray the cops find it and catch whoever took it.

"Dude, that sucks."

Otherwise known as, I would hunt down the f**ker that stole my car. If I had a car. But when I do, it'll be a car I will love. And then I'd have to kill for the car. And go to jail.

My point? Happy Holidays!

I'm sorry. *hugs to arafel and husband*

I can understand getting torn up over violation of a car...my ex's Mustang was broken into a couple of years ago and the stereo equipment was all ripped out. He wasn't the same after that.

Oh, sweetie. ::hugs:: For both you and your husband.

It sucks. And you know what? Everyone talks about how it's just stuff and not that important but that doesn't change the fact that you have time and memories still attached to a thing, especially if you put a lot of effort into building and improving it. I am so, so sorry.
