Got my first little chappie back from the bossman. It has corrections all over it of course but YAY many of them are stylistic rather than "this science bites the big one and you suck and you can't write theses for crap." *relieved*

This is good because I have written an enormous portion of the peroxynitrite chapter and I would just cry if I had to completely revise my writing style.

Okay. Feeling better. Feeling ready to nail the intro and the concluding section. Intro is almost done, and it's 90% references somehow.... every time I think I've got all the references nailed, another comes scuttling out like cockroaches from under the fridge.

but first, a snack. *hopes the Machine of Gourmet Delights has pop-tarts*

Woo! Go Arafel! :) That's so awesome. Sounds like you're making great progress! Stylistic stuff is easy to change. In fact, I confess that while I was writing my thesis, sometimes if I couldn't think of a way to say something, I just stumbled through it with random words and then waited for my boss to fix it to something more coherent for me. (She did the same thing to me when I proofed her grants and papers, so I think it all evened out in the end).

By the way, do you have Microsoft Word templates for thesis formatting? If not, I can direct you toward some. Makes life so much easier... (I think format guidelines for most places are the same, and U of M actually provided templates for us).

MMmm...poptarts.

Thesis templates? How about manuscript submissions templates? Now I would be interested in something like that...

:)

Here's the manuscript template that I used for my Nanowrimo novel. I don't know how close it is to what one might use for submissions because I've yet to submit anything, but... what do you think?

Hmmm... I think the formatting is pretty simple, and gauging from what I've seen of some other theses, Princeton doesn't seem to be too picky as long as you have your margins properly done.

Thanks for the cheers! Actually, bossman came by this morning and it turned out I had to write a good deal more... he was nice about it though, for once.

*grins* sometimes you just have to write crap and then fix it later. Otherwise, you spend an hour on one sentence.

Hmm... I don't think that's quite what I'm after, but this would work nicely as a cover page for the actual manuscript, especially if the manuscript get's separated from the submission letter.

Thanks for the linke.

No problem... :)

True, the template just has the cover page when you first load it up. When you start a new page, however, you change the headers for chapter numbers and body text and then I think it will look a little bit more like... well, actually, I don't know what you were expecting! What kind of template are you looking for, more specifically?
