so much for that idea

Photoshop 7 keeps crashing my monitor. I get a message like "Regulator Failure."

Anyone else ever seen this? Hope that Illustrator doesn't do the same or I'm rather screwed when it comes to manipulating NMR spectra graphically.

Installed PS5... again... bttter the older program than one that crashes my monitor every 10 minutes.

So PS7 is the cause? Wow, I've never heard of a program causing that before. Does it have anything to do with the gamma correction program that PS has (or didn't you set up that part). That is so strange...

I have no idea what it could be b/c I haven't heard of this particular problem before.

It could be the gamma correction program yes... that's about the only thing I can think of that has PS interact directly with the monitor...

It's a mystery to me as well.

That is really wierd, you probally just need to tweak your display settings or something... that or purchase a newer monitor!

You're no help at all... "purchase a newer monitor, indeed." :P :)

I think I might have to talk to someone like our resident computer guy.

well, I did say try adjusting the display settings, it may not like your refresh rate or number of colors or something. Also getting the correct driver for your monitor can help some.

Good suggestions, if she was having problems with other programs, rather than just PS7. That's the oddity. I mean PS5 works fine, so what is so different about PS7? And I don't see anything related to this problem on Adobe website (including the forum).

I could just be how Ps7 uses the display differently then PS5. I suspect that it is either in her display settings/driver or a monitor bug.
